تأسيس الجمعية السويسرية العراقية للأعمال (SIBA) في مدينة زيورخ

تم رسميًا تأسيس جمعية جديدة تحمل اسم الجمعية السويسرية العراقية للأعمال (SIBA) في مدينة زيورخ.

ويضم المؤسسون كلًا من السيدة رشا عوده، سيدة أعمال مقيمة في زيورخ؛ والأستاذ مقداد الجبوري، أحد أبرز المحامين العراقيين من بغداد؛ والسيد موريس شوكار، أحد أبرز المحامين السويسريين من زيورخ.

  وتهدف الجمعية إلى دعم وتعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية والتجارية بين سويسرا والعراق من خلال الحوار المنظم والتعاون المؤسسي.

يتزامن إطلاق الجمعية مع إعادة افتتاح السفارة السويسرية في بغداد بعد 33 عامًا من الإغلاق، ومع توقيع اتفاقية لتجنّب الازدواج الضريبي بين البلدين، ما يعكس توجهًا أوسع نحو توفير إطار قانوني مستقر يدعم التبادل التجاري والاستثماري.

تركّز الجمعية في أنشطتها على مجالات ذات أولوية، من بينها التعاون بين القطاع الخاص، ونقل التكنولوجيا، والخدمات المصرفية والمالية. كما تسعى إلى تنظيم وفود تجارية، وتشجيع المبادرات الثنائية، وبناء قاعدة بيانات للشركات المهتمة بالتعاون بين الجانبين، وذلك بالتنسيق والتعاون مع البعثتين الدبلوماسيتين لكل من سويسرا والعراق.

A new association named the Swiss-Iraqi Business Association (SIBA) has been officially established in Zurich. The founding members are Ms. Rasha Oudeh, a businesswoman based in Zurich; Mr. Muqdad Al-Juboori, a prominent Iraqi lawyer from Baghdad; and Mr. Maurice Choquard, a leading Swiss attorney from Zurich. The association aims to support and strengthen economic and commercial relations between Switzerland and Iraq through structured dialogue and institutional cooperation.

The launch of the association coincides with the reopening of the Swiss Embassy in Baghdad after 33 years, along with the recent signing of a Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between the two countries — a step toward establishing a stable legal framework to support trade and investment flows.

SIBA’s activities will focus on priority areas such as private sector cooperation, technology transfer, and banking and financial services. The association will also work to organize business delegations, promote bilateral initiatives, and build a database of companies interested in collaboration, in coordination with the diplomatic missions of both Switzerland and Iraq.
